Smart Machines Strategy 2035
In February 2025, we welcomed the publication of the Smart Machines 2035 Strategy, which outlines the leadership and investment required from Government to create a holistic ecosystem that maximises innovation and economic growth.
Produced by the Robotics Growth Partnership – an independent committee tasked by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology to put the UK at the cutting edge of smart robotics – the strategy provides a roadmap for integrating Smart Machines into our everyday lives which, if adopted fully, could increase GVA (Gross Value Added) to £150bn in the next ten years.
At The National Robotarium – included in the strategy as an exemplar of the commercial opportunity for demand-led robotics – we agree that a self-sustaining supply and demand model is key for accelerating innovation and strengthening the UK’s position in the Robotics Revolution.
